Job summary

St. James Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement best practice treatments under OT supervision.

You will document patient progress weekly and collaborate with all disciplines to ensure patient-centered care in a long-term care setting. The role requires valid licensure and strong documentation skills, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide feedback to supervising occupational therapist via documentation as required by facility policy.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Demonstrate exceptional patient service and professionalism.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation
