Job summary

Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in Tennessee. This full-time and PRN role focuses on implementing treatment plans, supporting residents’ independence, and documenting progress.

The ideal candidate holds a Tennessee COTA license, is a graduate of an accredited OTA program, and can work effectively within an interdisciplinary team while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Current COTA license in the state of Tennessee
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans for residents
• Provide therapy services to help patients regain independence in daily living activities
• Document treatment sessions accurately and timely in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Monitor and report patient progress or concerns to the Occupational Therapist
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Uphold all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures
