Job summary

Fairview Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Franklin, VA is hiring a COTA to provide comprehensive occupational therapy under OTR supervision in a long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes accurate progress documentation, adherence to state guidelines, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Eligible candidates hold an OT degree, state license, and SNF experience is preferred; benefits include PTO, 401K and annual raises.

Qualifications

• Graduated with a BA or AS in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.
• Holds current OT license/registration in the state.
• SNF (skilled nursing facility) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
• Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient's daily participation and progress with accuracy and timely co-signature.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated by Supervisor.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete billing logs and bill patients ethically for OT services rendered.

Education

BA or Associates degree in Occupational Therapy

Current OT license/registration in state
