Job summary

Laurel Park Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Elizabeth City, NC is hiring a COTA to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services under supervision of an OTR. The role includes patient identification for rehab and timely documentation with co-signature, ensuring physician orders, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a BA or Associate in OT, current licensure, and SNF experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate with BA or associate degree in Occupational Therapy per AOTA.
• Current state license/registration in applicable area.
• SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OT treatment under supervision of an OTR according to state guidelines.
• Identify suitable patients for rehab and refer accordingly.
• Document daily participation and progress with co-signature of the OTR.
• Obtain MD orders for treatments, re-certifications, and discharges.
• Complete billing logs and bill OT services ethically.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated.
• Supervise junior staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
