Job summary

Chestertown Nursing and Rehab is actively seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Maryland team. You will provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of an OTR and support patient progress in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualified candidates hold a BA or AS in Occupational Therapy, NBCOT as a COTA, and a current state license/registration. This in-person role offers a competitive hourly pay and benefits, with flexible scheduling including FT and PT options.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Occupational Therapy that is recognized by the AOTA.
• NBCOT designation as a COTA (if state mandated).
• Holds current license/registration in the state (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
• Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the OTR.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.
