Job summary

DRH Health seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support evaluation and treatment of daily living and work-related activities under licensed OT supervision. The position is based at Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, Oklahoma, serving diverse age groups from pediatric to geriatric.

The role includes patient education, development of therapy goals, data collection, and adherence to safety and regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• At least 1 year COTA experience preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Ability to adapt procedures and tools to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families; counsels on coping with functional impairments.
• Provides rehabilitative services under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Instructs and counsels patients on therapeutic regimens and wellness.
• Develops and implements goals with supervising OT.
• Observes patients and documents progress; reports to OT.
• Maintains licensure and complies with regulations.
• Adheres to safety and infection-control policies.
• Coordinates care and directs student/tech activities.
• Completes administrative tasks including billing and daily notes.
