Job summary
Majestic Care of South Bend is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support rehabilitation for residents in a geriatric setting. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will implement treatment plans to improve ADLs, mobility, and independence. Join a team that emphasizes compassionate, resident-centered care, accurate documentation, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary staff. Prior SNF experience and PDPM familiarity are a plus.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree (COTA) and current state licensure
1–2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred
Familiarity with PDPM and SNF documentation standards is a plus
Responsibilities
Deliver OT interventions as outlined in the plan developed by the supervising OT.
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and ADLs to improve independence and mobility.
Monitor responses and report progress or changes to the OT.
Support adaptive equipment use and provide instruction to residents and caregivers.
Maintain a safe, engaging therapy environment and participate in care planning meetings.
