Job summary

River Towne Care and Rehabilitation Center in Columbus, GA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the Occupational Therapist in delivering rehab services. This role focuses on improving mobility, functional skills, and patient independence within a long-term care setting.

You will document progress, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and educate patients and families about therapy goals while maintaining a safe, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Valid Georgia Boards Occupational Therapy Assistant certification and CPR.
• Experience with electronic documentation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the OT in implementing therapy plans to improve mobility.
• Assess patients and document progress; adjust goals as needed.
• Coordinate with doctors and staff for patient care and safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment area and proper PPE usage.
• Document patient progress and outcomes in records.
