Job summary

United Methodist Communities' Bristol Glen in Newton, NJ is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support residents across daily living tasks with an on-site, full-time schedule. You will implement treatment plans, document progress, and help residents regain independence in daily activities.

Qualified candidates are a graduate of an accredited COTA program with an active NJ license; 1–2 years of skilled nursing or senior living experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active, current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in New Jersey.
• 1–2 years of experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or senior living (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans set by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Help residents build or regain skills for daily living and functional movement.
• Track resident progress and report changes to the OT.
• Encourage and support residents through therapy sessions.
• Document each visit accurately and on time, per state and facility guidelines.
