Qualifications

Job description

We have an immediate need for experienced Home Health RNs to cover our North Pinellas County.

Field COTA for Medicare Certified Home Health - Per Diem W2 Employee (PRN)

We have an immediate need for experienced Home Health COTAs to cover our Central-South Pinellas territory.

A person who is a graduate and meets the requirements for certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Certification is maintained by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. Two (2) years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to established Agency policies and procedures.
  • Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient.
  • Return the individual to an optimal and productive level within the patient’s capabilities.
  • Participate with all other home care personnel in patient care planning.
  • Perform all skilled procedures as ordered by the physician and according to the plan of care established by the OT.
  • Consult with OT regarding changes in treatment.
  • Instruct patients and family members in-home programs and fine motor exercises.
  • Prepare medical records and update care plans for each patient visit in a timely manner as per agency policy.
  • Perform services planned, delegated, and supervised by the OT.
  • Participate in educating the patient and family.
  • Perform maintenance therapy services under a maintenance program established by a qualified therapist, within the scope of practice defined by state laws.
  • Must have current CPR certification, TB test, health statement/physical clearance to work, and eligible Level 2 background check.

Ideal candidates would have:

  • Medicare-Certified Home Health experience
  • Comfort using user-friendly clinical software (we use Kinnser)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
