Job summary

M2 HEALTHCARE LTD is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled OT services under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist in a long-term care setting in New York. You will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and document changes in condition during sessions.

Ideal candidates hold an active NY OTA license, have excellent interpersonal skills, and can manage residents with different personalities while communicating effectively with the care team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Relays information and referrals to the Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Implements and modifies the patient’s occupational therapy plan of treatment with OTR supervision.
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies them during treatment sessions as necessary.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
• Documents patient treatments and changes in condition as required.

• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referral to Registered Occupational Therapist.


• Implements and modifies the patient's occupational therapy plan of treatment with OTR supervision


• Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies it during treatment sessions as necessary.


• Observe residents and write progress reports.


• The Occupational Therapy Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.

COTA Duties Include:
