Job summary

Muskego Health and Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team. The role involves planning, organizing, developing, and directing Occupational Therapy Services to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine the best intervention or treatment based on scope of practice.
• Implement treatment plans and follow short and long-term goals per plan of care.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in collaboration with team members.
• Document and bill occupational therapy services according to established procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards daily.

Muskego Health and Rehab is seeking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Location: This position requires you to float between two facilities (Muskego Health and Rehab and St Ann Health and Rehab)

Status: Full-Time FT with flexible scheduling

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications
