Job summary

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Utica is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our day shift team on a full-time basis. You will work with the OT to develop and implement rehabilitation plans for residents in a supportive, skilled nursing environment.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited OTA program with current NY OTA licensure; LTC experience is a plus. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Current New York State OTA license.
• Experience in long-term care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities.
• Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor Residents' performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement.
• Teach Residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• Supervise Residents’ activities to ensure they are done properly.
• Report the Resident’s progress to the OTR/L.
• Document treatments and outcomes in rehab software accurately.

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Uticais currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Position type: Full-Time

Schedule: Weekdays; Day Shift

Pay range: $25.00 to $32.00 per hour (with benefits!)

Duties Include:

• Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
