Qualifications

1. Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by AOTA.
2. Current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable).

SNF experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
2. Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab.
3. Document patient participation and progress accurately and timely, with co-signature of the OTR.
4. Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications, and discharges.
5. Assist with documentation as required by state guidelines.
6. Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated.
7. Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
8. Participate in scheduling patients.
9. Complete billing logs and bill patients ethically and accurately.
10. Cover other therapists’ caseloads during absence as necessary.
11. Supervise junior COTA staff or students as needed.
12. Maintain professional relationships with co-workers, staff, patients, and families.
13. Provide in-service education as needed.
14. Comply with all policies, confidentiality, and Federal Resident Rights.
15. Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours, and maintain professionalism.
16. Meet productivity requirements and submit reports timely.
17. Foster a positive work environment.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.
19. Follow HR policies regarding lunch, sick, and time off.
