Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by AOTA.
- Current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable).
SNF experience preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
- Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab.
- Document patient participation and progress accurately and timely, with co-signature of the OTR.
- Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications, and discharges.
- Assist with documentation as required by state guidelines.
- Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated.
- Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in scheduling patients.
- Complete billing logs and bill patients ethically and accurately.
- Cover other therapists’ caseloads during absence as necessary.
- Supervise junior COTA staff or students as needed.
- Maintain professional relationships with co-workers, staff, patients, and families.
- Provide in-service education as needed.
- Comply with all policies, confidentiality, and Federal Resident Rights.
- Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours, and maintain professionalism.
- Meet productivity requirements and submit reports timely.
- Foster a positive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow HR policies regarding lunch, sick, and time off.
