Job summary

Qualifications

• ACOTE-accredited OT program (AS or BS) required.
• SC license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an Occupational Therapist.
• Provide direct patient care to help restore function and prevent disability following illness or injury.
• Monitor patient progress and collaborate with the supervising OT to modify treatment plans as needed to ensure successful recovery.
• Document patient treatments, significant changes in progress, and billing information accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and nursing staff, to coordinate quality patient care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment, ensuring all therapy equipment is in good working order.

Education

ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (Associate or Bachelor's degree)

SC Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license

NBCOT certification

BLS/CPR certification
