Job summary

Blessing Health System is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapy services under OT supervision to patients needing daily living activities, upper extremity strengthening, endurance and fine motor functioning.

The role serves diverse age groups from child to geriatric and requires excellent written and verbal communication, and current IL COTA licensure or licensure in process. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing therapy services, under Occupational Therapist (OT) supervision, to patients who require treatment for daily living, upper extremity strengthening, endurance and fine motor functioning.

This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including child through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

GRADUATE OF AN APPROVED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR COTA EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

POSSESS CURRENT ILLINOIS COTA LICENSE OR CONFIRMATION FROM THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF PROFESSIONAL REGULATION THAT LICENSURE IS IN PROCESS.
