Job summary

Interim HealthCare is hiring a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services to home care patients under the supervision of a licensed OT. You will build rapport with clients and families while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include assisting with evaluations, developing plans of care, educating patients and families, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Michigan.
• CPR certification.
• A minimum of one year in a home care setting preferred.
• Current Michigan driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Proof of car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the occupational therapist in evaluations and plan of treatment.
• Prepare clinical and progress notes.
• Educate patient and family on equipment and home therapy programs.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with rehabilitation per the plan of care.
• Participate in case conferences and in-services.
• Coordinate visits with other personnel weekly.
