Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. is seeking a Costuming Lead for its Special Events team in Durango, CO. The role focuses on maintenance, cleaning, and organization of all Polar Express Train Ride costumes, with duties including dressing-room management and costume checks.

The ideal candidate can sew, has a good eye for measurements and tailoring, and is comfortable with heavy lifting. This is a full-time seasonal, hourly position offering evening and weekend shifts during peak

• Must be able to sew.
• Knowledge of measurements, tailoring, and mending clothes.
• Experience in theatrical costuming is preferred.
• Must be able to move up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check each costume daily for tears, missing buttons, and stains.
• Inventory all costumes, assuring enough of each size is available.
• Keep costume zircons clean.
• Repair costumes as needed.
• Launder the costumes daily.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended seasonal hours.
