Job summary

Fresno State is seeking a Costume Shop Technician (Performing Arts Technician II) to lead the day-to-day operations of the costume shop and supervise students under the guidance of the Costume Shop Supervisor. You will assist in creating costumes, interpreting designs, and ensuring fittings and alterations meet artistic goals.

The role requires collaboration with faculty and staff, managing construction schedules, and coordinating in rehearsals to support productions.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience in professional repertory or academic costume shop.
• Ability to construct costumes and oversee fittings.
• Ability to train students and work with faculty on productions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations of the costume shop.
• Attend rehearsals and work with designers to meet deadlines.
• Oversee costume construction, alterations and maintenance of items.
