The School of Theatre at Florida State University seeks a full-time Costume Shop Manager to join our production team. This position oversees daily operations of the Costume Shop and supports the School’s professional training and educational mission.
Responsibilities include the planning and execution of all phases of costume and costume craft construction, alteration, fittings and procurement for all School productions and projects. Candidate must possess a diverse background in creating high-caliber costumes, including advanced expertise in standard costume construction methods, knowledge of textiles, pattern development and fitting techniques, tailoring basics, costume crafts, millinery, fabric modification, dyeing, and distressing. The Costume Shop Manager coordinates all costume expense activity within FSU policy.

Requirements
MFA in costume technology/management or MFA in costume design with strong emphasis on technology, plus at least two years of experience in a professional theatre or a BA/BFA in costume technology/management and four years of experience in a professional theatre. Experience managing a costume shop.
