Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Generate new part cost calculations as needed.
• Create Excel spreadsheets for calculations and reports.
• Estimate production costs for new manufacturing processes.
• Create Bill of Materials and routings in the ERP system.
• Investigate and correct ERP costing errors.
• Collaborate with Industrial Engineer Department on tooling costs.
• Maintain cycle time and setup time data for new part processes.

Position: Costing Engineer

Location: Fort Wayne, IN – North American Headquarters

Reports to: Manager, Costing

VOSS Automotive is a leading global supplier to on‑highway and off‑road OEMs, specializing in the design and manufacture of Diesel Exhaust Fluid Lines, Coolant Lines, Air Suspension Lines and Fittings, Fuel Lines and Fittings, and Quick Connects and Accessories. We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly motivated Costing Engineer to join our costing department. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and experience working with automotive or similar projects.

Job Duties

• Generate new part cost calculations, existing part cost calculations, and cost breakdowns as needed.
• Create and utilize Excel spreadsheets to perform complex calculations, track data, and publish reports.
• Estimate the cost to produce a part for a new manufacturing process.
• Create Bill of Materials and routings in ERP system.
• Investigate and correct ERP costing errors.
• Work with the Industrial Engineer Department to estimate tooling costs.
• Work with the Industrial Engineering Department at VOSS Automotive Mexico to keep the cycle time and setup time tables/files up-to-date for existing and new part processes.
