Brooksource is seeking a highly analytical Costing Data Analyst to support finance and supply chain operations for a large pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. This contract runs for 12 months with potential for extension and a likelihood of full-time conversion.

The role requires data mastery, ERP experience (SAP), master data management, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for reporting and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in a finance, costing, accounting, supply chain analytics, or related role.
• Experience working within ERP platforms, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and supply chain teams.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and reporting tools.

Duration: 12-Month Contract (likelihood extension, potential for full-time)

Brooksource is seeking a highly analytical Costing Data Analyst to support finance and supply chain operations for a large pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. This individual will be responsible for maintaining finance-related master data, supporting product costing activities, analyzing inventory variances, and partnering cross-functionally to improve reporting accuracy and operational performance.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in finance or accounting, experience working within ERP systems such as SAP, and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Master Data Management

• Maintain and update finance-related master data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Validate bill of materials (BOM) and manufacturing data structures.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies impacting financial reporting and operational processes.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support master data governance initiatives.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Perform recurring analysis of inventory gains, losses, and cost variances.
• Analyze Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and variance commentary for business stakeholders.
• Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures.

Inventory & Operational Support

• Review manufacturing and inventory transactions to identify discrepancies and process inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and supply chain teams to understand inventory movements and resolve issues.
• Support inventory reconciliation efforts and investigate quantity and valuation variances.

Material Disposition & Cost Control

• Coordinate and process material disposition and inventory adjustment requests.
• Ensure transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with financial controls.

Dashboard Development & Data Visualization

• Create, maintain, and enhance dashboards that support financial and operational decision‑making.
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis as business needs arise.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and technology solutions.
• Proactively recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility across finance and supply chain operations.
• Support adoption of new tools and technologies that enhance data management and reporting capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in a finance, costing, accounting, supply chain analytics, or related role.
• Experience working within ERP platforms, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
