Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Maintenance Cost Specialist to join our Project Controls Team in Baton Rouge, LA, supporting cost control, budgeting and analysis for maintenance, turnarounds and capital projects at job sites around the Baton Rouge area.

The role demands strong cost accounting knowledge, experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, SAP and related systems, and the ability to deliver accurate cost reports to management while working both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Two years of cost control/analyst experience in industrial maintenance, capital projects, or outages.
• Four years of jobsite cost specialist experience or BS degree in business, construction management, accounting, or related field.
• Strong background in cost control and cost analysis with attention to accuracy.
• Must read/write English and be proficient in MS Office; understand cost accounting terminology.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control cost, general accounting and cost accounting for projects.
• Prepare and submit cost reports; inform management of variances and impact.
• Coordinate with project management on cost diversity and forecasting.
• Assist with audits and cost forecasting for maintenance, turnarounds, and capital projects.
