Job summary

Clark Schaefer Hackett is seeking a Cost Segregation Associate / Senior Associate to join a growing practice in the Midwest. You’ll deliver cost segregation studies, analyze construction costs and fixed assets, and collaborate with tax, accounting, and engineering professionals to drive client value.

• What You’ll Do: Assist with the preparation and delivery of cost segregation studies for clients ranging from privately held businesses to large real estate owners, developers, and investors.
• Analyze construction costs, engineering reports, fixed asset records, and other supporting documentation to identify opportunities for accelerated depreciation and tax savings.
• Collaborate with tax, accounting, engineering, and advisory professionals throughout all phases of the engagement.
• Support client communications and help ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Research tax laws, regulations, and industry developments to support technical conclusions and recommendations.
• Contribute to a high-performing team committed to delivering exceptional client service and practical solutions.

• Strong preference for experience in Cost Segregation; candidates with experience in tax, accounting, engineering, construction, fixed asset analysis, or related fields will also be considered.
