Pegasus Search & Selection is seeking an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join a global leader in Cost and Project Management on major commercial, mixed-use and urban development projects across New York.

You’ll support clients throughout the full project lifecycle, from estimating and procurement through cost control, change management and final account, working alongside experienced project teams on complex construction programmes.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Cost Management / Quantity Surveying experience within a Construction Consultancy.
  • Experience on medium to large-scale construction projects across commercial/high-rise/mixed-use sectors.
  • RICS accreditation or working toward chartership is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project estimates, cost plans, forecasts and budgets.
  • Lead procurement activities including tender analysis and vendor assessment.
  • Provide cost reporting, forecasting, risk management and value engineering advice.
  • Manage cost control, payment applications, change orders and commercial issues.
  • Support clients and project teams through pre- and post-contract stages.
  • Benchmark project performance and costs against comparable projects.
  • Manage final accounts, post-contract audits and project close-out.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.

Job description

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join a global leader in Cost and Project Management, working on major commercial, mixed-use and urban development projects across New York.

You’ll support clients throughout the full project lifecycle, from estimating and procurement through cost control, change management and final account, working alongside experienced project teams on complex construction programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project estimates, cost plans, forecasts and budgets.
  • Lead procurement activities including tender analysis, bid levelling, vendor assessment and recommendations.
  • Provide cost reporting, forecasting, risk management and value engineering advice to clients.
  • Manage cost control, payment applications, change orders and commercial issues.
  • Support clients and project teams throughout the pre- and post-contract stages.
  • Benchmark project performance and costs against comparable projects.
  • Manage final accounts, post-contract audits and project close-out.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.

About You:
  • Relevant Cost Management / Quantity Surveying experience working for a Construction Consultancy.
  • Experience working on medium to large-scale construction projects, ideally across commercial, high-rise, mixed-use, data centres or could be from any Private or Public sector projects background.
  • RICS accredited or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
