Salary: $190,000 - $200,000/yr.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Cost Estimator IV located in Los Angeles, CA.

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Required Certifications/Licenses

• Certified Estimating Professional credential required

Required Qualifications

In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities:

• 15+ years of general estimating experience related to engineering and construction projects
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoffs and Bluebeam
• Experience managing a team of cost estimators
• Experience with complex estimate reconciliations and change order negotiations
• Experience obtaining independent estimates from vendors/contractors and negotiating costs
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and industry practices
• Self-starter attitude with results-oriented focus
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with various departments
• Team-oriented and collaborative
• Accurate, timely, and customer-focused
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working with agencies like FAA, LADBS, LADWP, etc.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review cost estimates during project phases
• Develop detailed independent cost estimates from drawings and conceptual info
• Provide constructability reports and support project budgeting
• Reconcile estimates with third-party proposals and negotiate as needed
• Analyze bids and determine factors influencing costs
• Identify necessary field equipment and resources
• Present estimates to management and stakeholders
• Lead negotiations with contractors and subcontractors
• Prepare material take-offs and component breakdowns
• Evaluate historical cost data for future estimates
• Review contracts and scope changes for cost implications
• Lead change order negotiations and review contractor claims
• Document negotiation processes and develop records
• Coordinate with project teams and prepare reports

Salary

• $190,000 - $200,000/year
