Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Cost Engineer to support preconstruction activities on large projects or multiple smaller ones. Primary duties include basic estimating tasks and buyout, with involvement in project planning, sales support, and preconstruction management.

Applicants should have a four-year engineering degree, familiarity with LEED is a plus, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Prior experience is preferred but not required; strong organizational skills are essential for this

Qualifications

• Basic estimating tasks and buyout of projects to support preconstruction efforts.
• Internships or estimating experience preferred but not required.
• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent, with potential LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in buyout phase and distribute project documents.
• Maintain/update estimating databases for costs and subs.
• Perform quantity surveys and provide admin support for Preconstruction Dept and projects.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing and develop pricing for hard bid/alternate delivery methods.
