Job summary

ORCAS Project Controls in Northern Los Angeles is seeking a Cost Engineer to oversee cost management for large biotech capital projects valued at $500M+ during the full project lifecycle. This is a hands-on, technical role requiring budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost controls in collaboration with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project controls (cost, estimating, scheduling, procurement, reporting) and experience with Monte Carlo

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cost controls for large capital projects.
• Experience in cGMP, R&D or office construction preferred.
• Biotech experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost baselines and forecasts.
• Manage budgets, commitments, actuals and variances.
• Support cost reporting and change management.
• Analyze cost data and risk, produce re-forecasts.
• Review invoices for contractual compliance and close-out.
