The Bergaila Companies is seeking a Cost Controls Advisor II to guide project cost control activities, strengthen project controls systems, and support sound decisions for successful project delivery.

You will coordinate cost control activities across Project Controls, Planning and Scheduling, and Project Services, while mentoring less experienced team members and developing plans and estimates for complex projects.

Formación

• Bachelor degree required in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management.
• Experience in Project Services, Project Controls, and Planning.
• Knowledge of PM best-practice frameworks and processes.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and computing skills; capable in multiple PM domains such as cost estimating and scheduling.
• Travel to project sites and work well in teams.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate project cost control activities while ensuring compliance with client policies and procedures.

• Develop Project Controls Plans.
• Oversee the development of Project Class 3 Cost Estimates.
• Draft Appropriation Request packages, project procedures, and Decision Support (White Paper) documents.

• Provide training and mentoring to less experienced group members.
• Apply project management best practices across project services, controls, and planning activities.

Help bring discipline, clarity, and confidence to complex projects. As a Cost Controls Advisor II, you’ll guide project cost control activities, strengthen project controls systems, and provide expertise that supports sound decisions, effective execution, and successful project delivery.

Overview

This role provides expert support across Project Controls, Planning and Scheduling, and Project Services. You’ll coordinate cost control activities, help maintain tools and processes, and contribute to the development of project plans, estimates, procedures, and decision-support materials. You’ll also support the growth of less experienced team members through training and mentoring.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours+

Target compensation: $107.00 per hour

Travel: Required to project sites, domestic or overseas

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate project cost control activities while ensuring compliance with client policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain controls systems that support contracting strategies and contract administration.
• Develop Project Controls Plans.
• Oversee the development of Project Class 3 Cost Estimates.
• Independently draft high-quality Appropriation Request packages, project procedures, and Decision Support (White Paper) documents.
• Support the Project Controls Supervisor in updating tools and processes.
• Provide training and mentoring to less experienced group members.
• Apply project management best practices and key work processes across project services, controls, and planning activities.

Must-Have

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
• Experience in Project Services, Project Controls, and Planning.
• Knowledge of project management best-practice frameworks and key work processes.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, business, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
• Competence or expert proficiency in several project management areas, such as project controls, execution planning, contracting strategy, contract administration, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, or EMCAPS
• Ability to travel to required project sites and work effectively in a team environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Previous supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of ECOSYS cost control software.
• Previous downstream ExxonMobil project cost control experience.
• Experience across multiple international project assignments.
