Job summary

Supermicro Computer Inc. is seeking an experienced Cost Control Analyst to provide accurate pricing for new and existing products, in collaboration with internal teams.

This senior analyst role sits within the operations team at the San Jose, CA headquarters, requiring regular in-office attendance. The candidate will forecast, control, and report project costs, develop variances and cost analyses, and support cost reduction initiatives across motherboard, chassis, and server systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in cost calculation/analysis systems; 3 years of management experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in International Cost accounting/Purchasing preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong time management.
• Experience coordinating with Sales, Operations, Purchasing and Logistics to optimize cost structure.
• Must have PC or Server hardware experience and knowledge.
• Ability to multi-task and cross-function between Administrative, Operations and Sales/Client contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage workload for multiple departments across function base.
• Forecasts, controls, and reports project costs.
• Develops and provides project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures.
• Provide forecasting guidance and projects for assigned projects.
• Perform Overhead, Contract Administration and Budget Management processes including monthly preparation and presentation.
• Assist customer with cost versus capital decision making.
• Prepares or reviews complex standard cost for Motherboard, Chassis, server system products and continues to drive efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
• Oversees development of product cost for various components and modules and coordinates resources to generate standard cost system and database.
