Job summary

EDG Inc. is seeking a Cost Control Specialist in New Orleans to support project teams with cost control activities across a portfolio of projects. You will validate costs, calculate accruals, and process contracts and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include developing cost tracking tools, maintaining accounting integrity, and delivering variance analyses to guide capital project decisions; some travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as a project cost analyst or similar role.
• Proficiency in cost control practices and tools.
• Solid Excel skills and basic MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to learn new software platforms quickly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project cost expectations and tracking tools.
• Understand project documents for cost control plans and reports.
• Ensure integrity of accounting information and provide analyses.
• Monitor and complete key reports and capital project deliverables.
• Report capital budgets, forecasts, variances, and cost closures.
• Create, analyze, and reconcile capital work orders with accounting.
• Assist in accrual preparation and invoices with clients.
