Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a cost analyst skilled in cost modeling, forecasting, and earned value management to support large-scale Power Plant projects in Austin. You will prepare data-driven reports, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure adherence to cost standards and safety requirements.

The role requires extensive experience with Cognos, Power BI, and Maximo, plus strong documentation and communication skills to support audit trails, change orders, and compliance with regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience.
• PCA III: 4+ yrs experience; Sr. PCA: 6+ yrs; Sr. Lead PCA: 10+ yrs.
• Direct cost analysis experience on large ($300M+) projects in utilities or process industries.
• Understanding of commercial agreements, contracting strategies, and schedule impact on cost forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cost models, scenario analyses and cash flow estimates for monthly PE process.
• Analyze cost and schedule impacts of scope changes; present numerical analyses clearly.
• Monitor and update project budgets/actuals; provide cost reporting and trending analyses.
