Flexicon Corporation in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our Finance team onsite. You will dig into standard vs actual costs, variances, and cost drivers, partnering with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and Finance to improve visibility and inventory accuracy.

This role emphasizes understanding why costs occur and turning data into actionable insights, covering cost reports, trend analyses, dashboards, month-end inventory, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, supply chain, or related field.
• 3+ years in cost/inventory analysis or related role.
• Strong costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems and large data sets.
• Excellent communication with non-financial partners.

Responsibilities

• Analyze standard vs actual manufacturing costs, including material, labor, overhead, usage, and scrap variances.
• Analyze purchase price variances and material cost changes.
• Review BOMs, routings, labor rates, overhead allocations, and other cost inputs for accuracy.
• Analyze job, work order, product, and project costs to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Support annual standard cost setting and periodic cost updates.
• Analyze inventory activity, valuation, adjustments, and discrepancies.
• Analyze excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
• Prepare cost reports, trend analyses, dashboards, and other management reporting.
• Partner across Finance, Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to improve cost and inventory processes.
• Support month-end/year-end inventory and manufacturing cost analysis, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, controls, reporting, and data accuracy.

Flexicon Corporation is looking for a Cost Analyst to join our Finance team in Bethlehem, PA. This is an onsite role and local candidates are given preference.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into the numbers, understanding what is driving manufacturing costs, and working directly with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and Finance to improve cost visibility and inventory accuracy.

This isn't a role focused solely on reporting the numbers. We're looking for someone who can help us understand why costs and variances are occurring and turn that information into practical, actionable insights.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in cost analysis, inventory analysis, cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or a related role
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost concepts
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work comfortably with large amounts of data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate financial and cost information clearly to non-financial partners
• Manufacturing or engineered-to-order experience is a plus
