Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Chicago is seeking an Accountant, Cost Accounting to support costing and inventory oversight across North America manufacturing operations. You will partner with Finance, Operations, and business contacts at multiple levels, driving accuracy and timely reporting.

Key initiatives include streamlining annual costing processes, enabling new product launches, and enhancing reporting and automation for standard and actual costing and variances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Refine and execute month-end close journal entries and cost analyses.
• Provide accounting guidance to accounting and non-accounting colleagues.
• Define and implement process improvements for closing with accuracy and efficiency.
• Become proficient in SAP Material Ledger close processes.
• Improve documentation and insights from reconciliations and SOX controls.
• Support personnel with ad hoc accounting information and analysis.
• Consolidate and publish variance reporting analyses.
• Develop and conduct training sessions and project deliverables as needed.
