Job summary

Conn Selmer is seeking a Cost Accountant to provide cost accounting support for all manufacturing and distribution activities. Responsibilities include month-end journal entries, variance analysis, cycle counts, and budgeting support.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in accounting or related experience, 2 years cost accounting in manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems such as MAPICS/Infor/AS400 or Dynamics 365. Office presence is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Two years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• MAPICS/Infor/AS400 and/or Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong communication.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.

Responsibilities

• Handle Month End Journal Entries and accruals for manufacturing/distribution facilities.
• Perform cost maintenance, cycle count analyses, and production order variance reviews.
• Assist with BOM and routing updates and annual budget/forecasts.
• Ensure all plant activities are reflected in monthly financial statements.
• Communicate with stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner.
• Support periodic variance analyses and inventory controls.
