Job summary

CFS, a manufacturing company in Saint Petersburg, FL, is seeking a Cost Accountant to partner with finance and operations to analyze costs, margins, and inventory costs. You will contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting, and support month-end close and internal controls.

You'll gain hands-on experience with Epicor ERP, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel, while driving cost reduction initiatives and improving accounting workflows in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost accounting analysis, including margins, absorption, and manufacturing cost reporting.
• Prepare variance and fluctuation analyses to support financial reporting and business decisions.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and operational cost analysis.
• Manage inventory-related accounting, including valuation, cycle counts, and audit support.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and support external audit requirements.
