Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Cost Accountant to support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting for its manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with production, operations, and finance teams to ensure accuracy and drive cost improvement initiatives.

You will analyze variances, prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, and leverage SAP, Excel, Alteryx and Tableau to automate reporting for US and global stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field; Masters preferred.
• 1+ years of cost/inventory accounting or manufacturing finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and journal entries.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems and data reporting tools such as Alteryx or Tableau; ability to learn new technologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inventory-related journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze inventory balances, cost variances, and obsolete stock.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports for U.S. and global stakeholders.
• Support audits with documentation and information requests.
• Leverage SAP, Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau to automate analyses and improve reporting.
