Job summary

CFS in Columbus, IN is seeking a Cost Accountant to maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead, and to analyze variances for actionable improvements. You will reconcile inventory and support month-end close while partnering with operations to drive costing accuracy across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Cost accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Analyze variances and provide recommendations.
• Reconcile inventory, WIP, and finished goods accounts.
• Support month-end close, inventory accounting, and cost reporting.
• Prepare profitability and cost analysis reports for leadership.
• Partner with operations to improve costing accuracy and identify efficiencies.
