Job summary

Shape Corp. in Ohio is seeking a financial analyst to prepare, analyze, and present cost information across divisions. You will manage the costing module, analyze cost records, and support budgeting and quote activities for cash flow.

The role involves updating procedures, preparing inventories valuation, assisting in audits, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring timely reporting to meet government and company requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with cost accounting and inventory valuation (WIP, finished goods).
• Ability to prepare and analyze budgets and accounting jobs.
• Support internal audits and write/update procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and analyze the Costing module.
• Analyze cost records to determine distribution of costs for various divisions of management and production.
• Review and update Cost Accounting procedures.
• Prepare and analyze the valuation and reporting of month end/year end inventories (WIP, Finish Goods, Subcontracting, Purchased Parts).
• Support AFM's in the quoting process.
• Manage and analyze Accounting Job budgets as it relates to the Quote Log for cashflow purposes.
• Review AFM quotes and assign Accounting Jobs accordingly per the quote workflow process.
• Create, track, and close Accounting Jobs as it relates to build projects, tooling, prototypes, and engineering changes.
• Add, dispose, and maintain the assets attributes while producing the required reports from the fixed asset system that support the company and local government requirements.
• Conduct timely and complete performance evaluations of direct associates if applicable.
• Assess subordinates skill sets, current and future development needs, and take steps to mentor and develop them appropriately if applicable.
• Assist in financial audits.
• Assist in writing and updating procedures for all responsibilities.
• Identify and train a back-up(s) to manage key tasks when absent.
