Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel.
• SOX compliance knowledge and experience with internal controls is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost accounting analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage and reconcile general ledger, balance sheets, and ERP transactions.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, variance analyses, budgets, and cash flow.
• Oversee cost management with trend analysis and cost-control measures aligned with GAAP.
• Support pricing reviews and audits (DCMA, DCAA) as needed.
• Support SOX compliance and internal controls with data collection and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop forecasting models and budgets for manufacturing.

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will lead comprehensive cost analysis initiatives, support financial reporting accuracy, and drive strategic decision-making through insightful data interpretation. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cost accounting analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall financial performance.
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, balance sheets, and account transactions using ERP systems. NetSuite ERP experience is a big plus.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analyses, budget forecasts, and cash flow assessments, utilizing advanced Excel data analysis and business intelligence tools.
• Oversee cost management processes by monitoring expenses, analyzing trends, and implementing effective cost control measures aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

• Role also supports pricing/proposal reviews as well as DCMA and DCAA Cost and Pricing Audits.Special cost or manufacturing operations projects as assigned.
• Incumbent will work on special cost or manufacturing operations projects as assigned.

• This position will support SOX compliance by maintaining rigorous internal controls and conducting regular audits of financial processes.
• The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data, interpret financial reports, and ensure accurate account reconciliation across multiple accounting systems.
• Assist in the development of forecasting models and budgeting strategies to support long-term business planning efforts within the manufacturing sector.

Experience and Requirements:

• The successful applicant will hold a 4-year degree in Finance or a related discipline along with proven Cost Analyst experience of 5-10 years within the manufacturing industry.
• Ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of cost accounting analysis and financial concepts.
• DoD experience is a big plus.
• Extensive experience with financial report writing, data collection, and account reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, or Oracle, or SAP, along with advanced skills in spreadsheets (Excel), business intelligence tools, and financial software.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP standards, technical accounting practices, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to perform cash flow analysis, budget forecasting, and cost management using sophisticated financial analysis techniques.
• Prior experience working in public accounting or corporate finance roles that involve SOX compliance and internal controls is highly desirable.
