We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will be in charge of providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis, and other projects requested by senior management.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Developing, interpreting, and implementing complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control.
  • Conducting and documenting complex financial and business analyses, and research in areas such as financial and expense performance, rate of return, working capital, and investments.
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts as well as conducting variance analysis to understand trends in business performance.
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis and providing recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Utilizing financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets. Outputting analysis into a clear and concise presentation format.
  • Providing FP&A support and working with different departments to understand and monitor key drivers of the business.
  • Implementing and working with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports.
  • Improving financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA or CMA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Accounting and Finance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, Adaptive Insights, and Advanced Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in FP&A, Variance, Financial Analysis, Ad Hoc, Forecasting, and Budgeting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner to senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
