LHH seeks a Cost Accountant for a growing manufacturing organization in Noblesville, IN. This role partners with operations, supply chain, production, and leadership to influence profitability through robust cost control and reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in cost accounting within manufacturing, with deep knowledge of inventory, standard costing, and month-end close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles.
• Experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• ERP experience required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report manufacturing costs including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Monitor standard costs and investigate cost variances.
• Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
• Reconcile inventory and support month-end close activities.
• Prepare plant profitability and cost reporting.
• Track and analyze inventory adjustments and purchase price variances (PPV).
• Maintain BOMs, routings, and cost structures within the ERP system.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with operations and plant leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with year-end audit requirements and special projects.

This position offers the opportunity to partner closely with operations, supply chain, production, and leadership teams while having a direct impact on manufacturing performance and profitability. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of inventory, standard costing, and month-end close activities.
