Job summary

AccruePartners in Monroe, NC is seeking a cost analyst where you''ll assist in collecting, tracking, and analyzing production, labor, material, and overhead costs, supporting month-end close and cost reporting.

This role offers exposure to budgeting and forecasting, inventory valuation, and collaboration with operations, procurement, and accounting to ensure accurate data. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required).
  • Basic understanding of accounting and cost concepts.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Willingness to learn accounting software or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, track, and analyze production, labor, material, and overhead costs.
  • Support the preparation of cost reports, variance analyses, and margin calculations.
  • Maintain inventory records and assist with inventory valuations and reconciliations.
  • Participate in month-end close activities related to cost accounting.
  • Assist with standard cost updates and variance explanations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost-related data.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and accounting teams to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Maintain organized documentation for audits and internal reporting.
  • Follow company policies and accounting standards (GAAP).
