Lakeside Foods Inc. is seeking a Cost Accountant to support costing, reporting, and analysis for products across Lakeside Foods and its subsidiaries.

The role contributes to financial reporting, product costing, and business decision support with strong analytical skills. Responsibilities include preparing cost reporting for direct labor, overhead, and other costs, maintaining profit-by-product reporting, and assisting with income statement components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience with ability to apply accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost reporting for direct labor, overhead, warehouse, selling, G&A, and interest using appropriate costing methods.
• Support monthly, fiscal, budget, and projection close schedules.
• Develop and maintain profit-by-product reporting and supporting schedules.
• Support preparation of Income Statement components, including cost of goods sold and warehouse costs.
• Prepare customer profitability reporting and support Sales with pricing analysis.
• Ensure accuracy of cost data through proper use of accounting systems and tools.
• Review or support work of cost accounting team members as needed.
• Perform assigned product costing activities with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Support special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned.
