Job summary

Enovis is seeking a Cost Accountant to join the Finance team, supporting month-end close and cost analyses across multiple Texas locations. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on ERP experience. You will work with Netsuite and/or Oracle in a manufacturing environment.

Location options include Austin, Houston, or Lewisville, with onsite/hybrid work requirements. Candidates should have 5+ years in accounting (3+ in cost accounting) and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Hands-on ERP experience – Netsuite and/or Oracle preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, 3+ years in cost accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of operational experience, especially with inventory.
• Excellent analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• English level: Advanced.
• Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities related to cost accounting.

• Review and set up new raw-material, packaging, WIP, and finished goods items; review BOMs and routers; maintain cost rolls.
• Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods to determine cost effects; compare standard vs actual production costs.
• Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures and prepare estimates of new costs.
• Provide management with reports detailing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and components in a worldwide ERP system.
• Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.

Job Title / High‑Level Position Summary

Cost Accountant

Reports To: Director, Finance

Location: This position may be based at any of the following Enovis locations:

• Austin, Texas
• Houston, Texas
• Lewisville, Texas

Candidates must be able to work from one of these office locations in accordance with the role’s onsite/hybrid work requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month‑end close activities related to cost accounting.
• Prepare various financial analyses related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information as needed for decision‑making support.
• Review and set up new raw‑material, packaging, WIP (work in progress), and FG (finished good) items; review Production BOMs and routers; maintain periodic cost rolls and updates.
• Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine effects on costs; analyze actual production costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
• Prepare estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.
• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in a worldwide ERP system.
• Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
• Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production and work order processing.
• Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.
• Represent Finance/Accounting on teams designed to improve operations and reduce costs.

Minimum Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; medical manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
• Hands‑on ERP experience – Netsuite and/or Oracle preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, 3+ years in cost accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of operational experience, especially with inventory.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions.
• English level: Advanced.
• Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts.
• Extremely strong Excel skills, especially advanced financial modeling and analytical techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes.
• CMA, CPCA or CCA preferred.
