Job summary

Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG) is seeking a Manufacturing Cost Accountant to join our team onsite in Poestenkill, NY. You will handle costing, reporting, and analysis for the Measurement Systems product line, ensuring profitability and accurate cost control.

The role supports inventory and work orders, conducts cost variance analysis, and maintains SOX compliance. Travel to sites may be required as part of budgeting and cost optimization efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required.
• CPA/CMA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Costing and profitability analysis for product lines and projects.
• Prepare monthly reporting package including gross margin reconciliations and cost variances.
• Manage inventory and work orders valuation, control, reserves, and physical counts.
• Assist with audits, SOX compliance and internal controls.

This role is responsible for the costing & controlling function for product line at Measurement Systems. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, CPA/CMA nice to have
• 7 years’ experience with costing & cost controlling and accounting background in manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Syspro ERP system
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, along with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis to drive profitability and efficiency
• Advanced Excel skills are essential for financial modeling, data analysis, and report preparation.
• International travel is required

Benefits

Base Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year depending on experience.
