Job summary

Tricascade Tech in City of Industry, CA is seeking a cost accounting professional to maintain standard and job costing, BOM analysis, and overhead absorption. The role involves variance investigation, data analysis, and close processes to support accurate financial reporting.

You will collaborate with Operations and Engineering to improve costing accuracy, assist with budgeting and pricing, and develop dashboards to monitor KPIs and margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Proven knowledge of standard costing, job costing, overhead absorption, variance analysis, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze standard costs, job costs, BOMs, labor rates, and manufacturing overhead.
• Investigate variances (material, labor, freight, overhead) and identify root causes with corrective actions.
• Reconcile inventory, WIP, and manufacturing-related GL accounts.
• Monitor inventory valuation, scrap, obsolete inventory, and cycle-count adjustments.
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze gross margins, job profitability, and manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to improve costing accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, pricing decisions, and product costing.
• Develop and maintain cost dashboards and KPIs.
• Support inventory audits, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Maintain and analyze standard costs, job costs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), labor rates, and manufacturing overhead.
• Investigate material, labor, freight, and overhead variances, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Reconcile inventory, work-in-process (WIP), and manufacturing-related general ledger accounts.
• Monitor inventory valuation, scrap, obsolete inventory, and cycle-count adjustments.
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Analyze gross margins, job profitability, purchase price variances, and manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to improve costing accuracy and manufacturing efficiency.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, product costing, and pricing decisions.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor costs, margins, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support inventory audits, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, job costing, inventory accounting, overhead absorption, variance analysis, and month-end close.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis.
• Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
