Job summary

SCI is seeking the Cosmetology Program Director to lead program coordination, curriculum review, administration, and accreditation across Central or South Texas campuses. You will work with the Director of Education and Campus Director to set goals and ensure program compliance.

Relocation to Texas campuses is required; the position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, or a related field, 5+ years of post-secondary teaching, prior director experience, and a Cosmetology Instructor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, or a related field; 5+ years in post-secondary education preferred.
• 5+ years of post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
• Prior Program Director and/or management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work with Director of Education to develop program goals, strategies, budget and metrics.
• Conduct ongoing progress evaluation.
• Lead collaboration with instructors, students, and staff to train and place students.
• Practice excellence in teaching and instruction; may teach classes.
• Manage and support faculty and coordinate advisory board meetings.
• Establish and enhance academic and professional networks for the program.
• Assess student learning and use results to inform curricula and facilities decisions.
• Counsel students on attendance and document related matters.
• Identify and recruit qualified faculty and plan staffing and hires.
• Provide leadership for program assessment and accreditation.
• Collaborate with Admissions to reach program population goals.
• Coordinate resources and communicate staffing and facilities needs.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, or in a field related to the assigned teaching and curriculum field

Cosmetology Instructor License
