Job summary

Gila Community College on the Payson Campus is seeking a part-time Cosmetology Instructional Professional to teach the cosmetology curriculum across in-person, web-based, or hybrid formats. The role requires Arizona cosmetology instructor licensure, a minimum of three years in cosmetology, and flexibility to accommodate late afternoon, evening, weekend, and summer hours.

A Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required, and duties include developing courses, assessing student learning outcomes,

Qualifications

A combination of education, training and experience that meets the appropriate credentialing guidelines for the instructional area.
Ability to pass a background screening process and/or obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is necessary.
State of Arizona licensed cosmetology instructor.
Minimum of three years of experience in cosmetology.

Responsibilities

Teach portions of the Cosmetology curriculum as assigned by the appropriate academic administrator.
Develop, review, and update courses and curriculum collaboratively with faculty and academic administration.
Develop and administer appropriate tools and measures for assessment of student learning outcomes at the course and program levels.
Verify attendance and participation as directed by academic administration. Submit complete and accurate rolls and grades by specified deadlines.
