Job description

Job Title

• Cosmetology Instructor Location: Federal Medical Center, Carswell, Travel: N/A Duties : Provide instruction in Cosmetology as set forth in Lesson Plans and Curriculum created by accrediting school.
• Provide instruction consistent with course requirements provided by accrediting school.
• Enhance course instruction with Live Work and On-The-Job training to meet accrediting school’s expectations.
• Examination and evaluation of students to determine mastery of course work.

PROGRAM/CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

• The candidate will train students in Cosmetology with skills to include: Every student will be on a program plan to complete a course study consisting of the minimum state requirements The candidate will provide training program that consists of twenty percent (20%) classroom training and eighty percent (80%) live work. (The live work will be performed by students being directly supervised in the completion of the live work on students and/or inmates at the institution using the most up-to-date equipment, to plan work/activity schedules, for understanding this career field.) A course outline which provides job entry skills is required.
